Mayors endorse residential energy code improvements
The U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) endorses a 30% residential efficiency improvement in the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), which would put new residences in line with meeting the initial 50% energy reduction target of the 2030 Challenge. The USCM was one of the original adopters of the 2030 Challenge when they unanimous passed Resolution #50 for all cities.
